Last week I told you that I was going to be attending a statewide meeting of Gateways for Opportunity Statewide Higher Education Forum. So here I am. It is 8 AM in Bloomington – Normal, and I am sitting with some of the big movers and shakers in the ECE world looking at the data about who is caring for the children in Illinois. Very interesting!

Last night, my friend and colleague, Kathy, who is also the leader of the Math at Home project told us a story that made us all laugh.

I walked into an 3 – year old classroom and a boy asked me how old I was.

I told him that I was 29.

He said, “You look so much taller than that.”

 

I love three year olds.
