The Benefits of Quality Preschool
I am very lucky to have many friends and colleagues who forward me great tidbits to add to this blog. Yesterday, Dr. Kathleen Sheridan (co-creator of Early Math Counts) sent me this link to the Academic Minute, a radio program from the northeast corner of the US, in which academics from around the country present a minute of thoughtful educational insight.
Yesterday’s minute, entitled the Lifelong Benefits of Preschool. Peter Savelyev of Vanderbilt University speaks about a paper written by himself and 2 professors from the University of Chicago in which again they provide substantial data that reaffirms what we already know: quality preschool experiences are beneficial later in life
